Every Mookaite piece begins with a connection. The Heritage Loom handbag was born from a journey to Albania, where we met two sisters, both teachers, who carry the quiet, rhythmic art of hand crochet in their fingertips.

Each bag takes time to come to life, shaped slowly by hand over the course of two days. This process reflects a way of creating that values patience, precision, and human touch.

This encounter became what we call the Loom connection — a bridge between worlds where tradition, time, and craftsmanship meet. The bag reflects this story through its sculptural form and raised floral motif, inspired by the language of handcrafted crochet. Paired with the Loom Blossom silk twilly, it creates a natural dialogue between texture and print, where each piece complements the other without being identical.
